Dr. Hartnett has a been Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 1996. She is on the attending staff at Mountainside Hospital, where she teaches dental residents.
To keep on the cutting edge of dentistry, Dr. Hartnett regularly attends continuing education courses.
She is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Board of Periodontology, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Northeastern Society of Periodontists, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association and the Essex County Dental Association.Her philosophy of treatment is to deliver high quality dentistry in a calm, caring office. Patients receive personalized attention designed to meet their needs.
In her free time she is an avid scuba diver.
Dr. Hartnett has a wonderful, experienced and caring staff.
Barbara Miller, RDH, B.S., has been a full-time hygienist since the inception of our practice in 1967 by Dr. Surber. She treats our patients, their children and grandchildren! Barbara graduated with honors from Columbia University.
Susan Sparks, RDH, graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a member of the Phi Zeta Kappa Honor Society. She has worked in general dentistry for many years and was a clinical instructor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, for six years.
Josephine Viola
has been a dental assistant since 1974. She started in
Paterson, New Jersey, receiving her x-ray license in 1976. She has been
a periodontal assistant since 1987.
Joanne Zichella is our administrative assistant. She has worked in a dental office since 1996, and has her x-ray license.
Dr. Anne Hartnett has been practicing dentistry since 1986 and has limited her practice to periodontal and implant surgery since 1990.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. Her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree is from Stonybrook School of Dental Medicine.
Her first dental residency program was a two year general practice residency at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center. During this time,Dr. Hartnett received a great deal of surgical experience and became interested in periodontology.She then received her specialty training in the Periodontics Residency Program at the University of Tennessee School of Dentistry and the Memphis VA Hospital.
